Classic villains have been re-imagined for this game, including Scorpion, Rhino, Felicia Hardy, and Iguana. The writing is smart and funny, the controls are easy to pick up, and there are many collectible comic pages to snag while swinging through the air and while running on rooftops. The game's indoor missions aren't as fun as the freeform outdoor ones, however, and after you play the game through there's little reason to do it again.
Overall this game is fun, funny, frantic, and faithful to the Spider-Man universe. Families can talk about whether Activision was smart not to mirror the exact storyline of the film. On one hand, this looks and plays like it's a unique adventure that serves as an epilogue to the film, but on the flipside, some teens might want a similar storyline as the feature film.

User Reviews Parents say Kids say. Adult Written by S. March 6, Such an underrated Spider-Man game from the last decade!!! I remembered those days when I first played this for the PS Vita. In my opinion, it's a better game than their recent release Marvel's Spider-Man Continue reading.

Great game I played this on the wii with worse graphics and such but otherwise there the exact same thing, the only actual different is there's better graphics and de The Amazing Spider-Man is a decent, challenging action game, but it suffers from a series of problems: bad controls, bad camera, bad graphics.
The Amazing Spider-Man for the Wii is a very average game. The gameplay can be enjoyable when the camera behaves, and the story is exciting to be a part of, unfortunately the graphics really pull down the experience. This is not the first time an Activision-published title has taken shortcuts on a Wii version of a multiplatform title, and in each case it has left Wii fans not simply with a lower-res product which ought to be expected , but a completely different and inferior game which ought not to be.

The first few times I played it I ended up a little frustrated by the unplayable camera angles and then gave up and it's sat on the shelf for over a year. I finally picked it up again and gave it a proper chance. Turns out I really enjoyed this game once I got used to the camera and controls. I haven't finished the game yet but will definitely stick at it until the end. I picked the game up second hand for a few dollars so from that perspective I really can't complain about anything.
I did find it initially very frustrating and the graphics aren't great but it grows on you. Play Video. The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer. Essential Links.
