License plate carry on airplane

I'm wondering if anyone else here as flown with a license plate in carry on luggage - or - if you think I will get a big hassle about it - since - it's metal - and therefore could some how be used as a weapon in the eyes of the TSA????

Still not really here. Still just an illusion. Pain in the tuchas suggestion: Go to the airport and talk with security. Ask them what documentation you would need, if any, to board the plane with the plates. It may be as simple as requiring DMV records showing the purchase of the vehicle and the ownership of the plates. What might be even simpler is to get temporary plates, which are basically paper, and securing them to the car while you travel home.

This, of course, applies to the use of common sense. In all likelihood, you will be arrested for your iPod making a strange noise as you board the plane. Those who wish access to my blog should reach out to me on FB.
